Ocean Mineral Commodities DMCC (part of the Ocean Mineral) successfully managed the operations and maintenance of Bahrain Ferro Alloys (BAFA) from 2012 to 2016. This included procurement, marketing, and all aspects of suppliers Bulk Ferro Alloys.

Established in 2002 in the Hidd Industrial Area of the Kingdom of Bahrain, BAFA features a 24MVA Submerged Arc Furnace with an installed capacity of 50,000 TPA of High Carbon Ferro Manganese or 30,000 TPA of Ferro Silico Manganese, with the flexibility to switch between these products.

The smelter’s power needs are met by a captive power plant on-site, which includes two gas turbines with a total installed capacity of 50MVA and auxiliary equipment to ensure uninterrupted operation of the Ferro Alloy plant.
